Short answer: a custom-designed food forest installation from Bring Back Eden starts at $14,000, and larger food forests run $25,000 and up. For a very small space, a crew-led edible zone starts at $4,997. Most families begin somewhere on a ladder between those two numbers, and some begin with a free call or a $29 guide. This article lays out every published price, what each one includes, and what actually moves a Florida food forest budget.
Why food forest pricing is hard to find
Most edible-landscape companies publish a consultation fee and stop there. That leaves homeowners guessing whether a project is a weekend purchase or a major investment. We publish our ladder because the answer changes what you should do first: a family ready to plant three fruit trees needs a very different next step from an estate planning an acre of layered food forest.

Free: education and an Eden Fit Call
Our articles and Fruit Hunter Field Notes cost nothing. The Eden Fit Call is a free 15-minute conversation to confirm whether your property and goals fit our work, and which step makes sense next.
$29: The Fruit Hunter's Florida Family Fruit Guide
A 44-page digital guide for families who want to choose and plant their first fruit trees themselves. It is the right purchase when the project is a few plants, not a landscape.
$350 to $950: Site Consultation
A paid on-site walkthrough, priced by location zone: $350 Zone 1, $550 Zone 2, $750 Zone 3, $950 Zone 4. We map sun, shade, water and access, recommend plants and planting zones, and send a written recap with next steps. A virtual consultation is available for properties outside our on-site zones. Your Site Consultation fee is applied toward a qualifying full Bring Back Eden Design + Build project ($14,000+) when you move forward. Phase-1 Eden Zones are excluded.
$4,997: Eden Launch Zone
A crew-led, one-day installation of up to 250 square feet: three established fruit trees, eight support species, soil-first preparation with compost and amendments, and a mulch basin system. Plant placement is matched to your site. It is a defined first zone, not a scaled-down version of whole-property design.
$9,997: Eden Expansion Zone
The same crew-led approach across up to 450 square feet, with five established fruit trees, twelve support species and a full mulch and basin system. An optional banana circle can be added for $997. Both Eden Zones currently serve the Tampa to Fort Myers area.
$14,000 and up: full Design + Build
Whole-property food forests and edible landscapes, designed for the specific site and installed in phases. Standalone Design Blueprints are available as a separate professional service. For full Bring Back Eden Design + Build projects, professional design is incorporated into the overall project scope and project investment. Installation is quoted after the Site Consultation and design, because the scope genuinely differs from one property to the next.
Ongoing: Stewardship Plans
Recurring care for landscapes we installed or have approved after an assessment. Plans differ by visit frequency and depth of care. Current plan pricing is on our stewardship plans, from $247 a month.
What moves a Florida food forest budget
Area. More square footage means more plants, soil amendment and mulch, and more crew time.
Plant size. Established fruit trees cost more than small nursery stock, and they are the main reason a new planting looks like a landscape on day one.
Soil. Much of Florida is sandy and holds little water or nutrient, so preparation with compost, organic matter and mulch is part of the work rather than an optional extra.
Water and access. Irrigation changes, grading, tight side yards and long carries for the crew all add labor. Irrigation installation, hardscape and land clearing are generally outside the defined Eden Zones.
Design depth. A single zone needs site-matched placement. A whole property with existing trees, drainage and an HOA review needs a full design, which is priced separately.
